Who can Perform Maintenance on Type Certified and Light Sport Aircraft and What Can They do Safely

Many aircraft owners and hobbyists would like to perform maintenance on their aircraft for the challenge and to save money. Mr. Steven VanAntwerp, FAA s Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative (DMIR) to the Piper Aircraft Corporation will be speaking on what folks can do safely and legally on both certificated and Light Sport Aircraft (LSA). As an additional subject, he will review what should pilots check both pre and post flight to assure the aircraft is airworthy and fit for flight especially after that $100 hamburger.
