Bob Tweedie, Economic Development Director of the City of Tavares, presents the policies, infrastructure investments, community partnerships, and regulatory strategies that transformed a small Central Florida city into a thriving seaplane destination drawing pilots and visitors from across the country. From the development of the city's seaplane base to its ongoing work attracting seaplane businesses and events, Tweedie examines what other communities can learn from Tavares and how Clear Lake and Lakeport can apply those lessons to build a seaplane-friendly future of their own.
