While most of us dedicate flight hours to taking passengers on flights, practicing maneuvers, or seeking additional privileges, logging a long cross-country adventure is a goal that many pilots hope to achieve. In 2024, Willamette Aviation CFI Angela Werner ferried her Cessna 150 from North Dakota to Oregon, which required crossing the Rocky Mountains. At this month's Summer Safety Briefing and BBQ, Angela will discuss Cross Country ADM and Risk Management. Multi-day flights across varied terrain and changing conditions require extensive planning. Angela will discuss decision making and risk mitigation, and she'll also review some helpful tools on how to use them, and then apply those concepts to a case study. If you're thinking about a long cross-country flight of your own, you don't want to miss this one!
