Skagit Skies Airshow and Community Aviation Festival

A free airshow for the community, to come on out and learn what a valuable asset to the community Skagit Regional Airport is. Spend a day enjoying all facets of aviation including Law Enforcement, Search and Rescue, Border Protection, Navy, Airforce. Coast Guard, Fire, Med Flights, Recreation and more, all of which will be represented at our show. Its an opportunity to learn about the wonderful volunteering side of aviation including Angel Flight and DART. Our wonderful Heritage Flight Museum will be sharing the historical piece of aviation. Children s Museum of Skagit County will be hosting a STEAM event tied to aviation, for the kids. Our flights schools will be displaying their aircraft and sharing with attendees how they too can become pilots. We will have something for everyone to get excited about. Participants include but not limited to .. Melissa Burns Aerobatic Performance Undaunted Airshows Aerobatic Performance NAS Whidbey Growler Demo Team and Legacy Flight NAS Whidbey P8 flyover US Army Golden Knights Parachute Team. Smoke and Thunder Jet Car Greg Anders and team of the Heritage Flight Museum performance flights of various historical aircraft CAF Rainier Squadron 1944 Stinson rides. Local based aircraft demo flights including a Gulfstream and Agusta Helicopter. Our event also incudes a Friday night ticketed event on the apron, food/drinks/band and fun. We are also offering camping under the wing for aircraft wanting to spend the weekend. There will be pilot seminars hosted by our local EAA Chapter. There will be a wonderful offering of food from various local food trucks and restaurants.
