The Okie Derby is Profiency Rally has been held annually since 1979. Participating pilots test their flying skills and knowledge of their airplane. Working with a handicap speed and fuel usage, pilots fly a prescribed course of approximately 200 NM course, flying so that the return time to the airport matches the handicap speed and fuel usage. Open to certificated pilots, the event is conducted by the Oklahoma Chapter of 99s to benefit their Wings of the Future Scholarship. Prizes are awarded for the Top three finishers, as well as best time estimate and best fuel estimate.
