IMC Club Meeting at Palomar Airport / EAA 286

After a brief Audio/Video presentation we ask "What Would You Do"? Everyone is encouraged to join in the discussion. Videos depicting actual flights that encountered challenges are chosen from a library provided by EAA and the presenter. In the ensuing discussion, often there's agreement on the steps to take, but that's not necessarily the goal - the value is in performing the mental exercise and developing an answer that's right for you. Sometimes we argue it out - respectfully - and modify our plan of attack. The benefit is to think it through without the pressure of flying the plane. Pilots of all skill levels are encouraged to attend. Click the link below for more information and to register. Transitioning from IMC to VMC can be a challenge even at a towered airport. At an non-towered field you have the additional challenge of spotting and blending in with traffic. Should you cancel IFR? Does it matter? The second scenario is flying a back course approach.
