The Great Lakes STOL 2024 The Chesaning Sportsplane association will be providing a donation based breakfast Sunday morning, we will have a food truck on the field. On airport camping. Multiple restaurants and a grocery store adjacent the airport. This year we are going with 5 Classes Officials will make all class determinations. 1. Spam Can class- This is for anyone, you compete against your own aircraft book numbers Think of it as a handicap in golf, this takes the equipment out of the equation and is all about the pilots ability to short field land. C172, Piper Cherokee's, RV's, bring your plane come out and have fun 2. 100 H.P. and under vintage class. This year there will be no loopholes This is for classic 100H.P. and under airplanes. J3 cub, J5 cub, Champs, Chiefs, C140, C120 Taylorcrafts, all the classic grass field taildraggers 3. Touring Class. 4 seat airplanes C170's, Tailwheel converted C172's, Maule's Stinson 108, Aeronca Sedan, C180's (optional Spam Can Class) 4. Bush Class. 2 seat airplanes airplanes 100+ HP Cubs and Scout, Husky. 5. Experimental aircraft. The purpose homebuilt STOL/Backcountry aircraft. Friday is early arrivals and camping setup for both competitors and spectators. We will have facilities available and camping on the field. Friday afternoon we will set up the landing line, flags, tents and get everything ready for the weekend. Saturday STOL camp. This is where we can discuss and practices STOL flying. We h
