Join the AOPA Air Safety Institute s Adam Rarey for a practical look at operating in and around the Washington, D.C. Special Flight Rules Area (SFRA). We ll review the FAA s mandatory online training, equipment needs, and key procedures for both VFR and IFR flights within a 60 nautical mile radius centered on the DCA VOR/DME. Learn how to navigate the SFRA, handle airport-specific procedures, and respond to emergencies all with a focus on safety and preventing unauthorized incursions.
