The purpose of this meeting is to introduce Air Traffic Controllers who work at the New Orleans Lakefront Airport and New Orleans International Airport, to General Aviation pilots who use their airspace. This meeting will address concerns from these pilots on reluctance to enter this airspace and factors that influence their willingness to enter: understanding of and compliance with clearances, Flight Following, proper communication, airspace deviations and runway incursions. ie. what to do if you are asked to call the tower.     This meeting will also allow controllers to address their concerns with attending pilots and any other topic of interest to both groups.    This meeting will especially help student and low-time pilots improve communication skills and build confidence when entering controlled airspace.
