When flying under VFR, you re the lynchpin for this communication. Under IFR, it should be done for you. Sometimes, though, it s not clear who s responsible for handling the call. Is this one of them?    A Swift Decision - VFR scenario    A pre-takeoff briefing exists to remove hesitation and doubt from split-second emergency decisions after takeoff. The problem is that most real-world departures present several opportunities to go off script. Members watch 2 short videos scenarios  and discuss how they would respond to the given situations.          This is an open forum for free ideas and we all learn from shared experience!
