Human Factors Promotion The General Aviation Joint Safety Committee (GAJSC) has studied a number of General Aviation accidents that feature human factors causal factors. Inappropriate or no response to startling events, Plan Continuation, and Confirmation Bias, Over-reliance on Automation, and other human factors deficiencies have been noted. The committee feels that human factors training for pilots and flight instructors would be beneficial, not only in preventing accidents, but also in improving day-to-day aviation operations.
