This presentation will cover the technical and fiscal benefits of frequent rinsing and washing the gas path components of the turbine engine. It will begin with a short explanation of the properties of water, including the various processes used to clean and purify water. The session will also review turboshaft operational theory and explore both the safety and financial benefits of using ultrapure distilled water for the removal of airborne contaminates ingested into the turbine engine during regular operations. This course is offered at the HAI Rotor Safety Challenge at HELI-EXPO 2024. These sessions are FREE to all HELI-EXPO 2024 registered attendees and exhibitors. Attend at least six Rotor Safety Challenge sessions at HELI-EXPO 2024 and receive a certificate of recognition for completing the 2024 HAI Rotor Safety Challenge.
