Dr Frank Ayers professor of Aeronautical Science and Senior Editor of Plane and Pilot Magazine will lead a discussion of the required, recommended, and just plain smart traffic pattern habits that reduce the chance of a midair collision. Some of the presentation is based on the recently issued FAA Advisory Circular 90-66C, Non Towered Airport Flight Operations and the rest from a review of recent accidents and experiences in the towered and non towered traffic pattern.
