The objectives of this course are to present the main causes of autorotation accidents and incidents, especially in training. Accident statistics show that autorotation mishaps are the leading cause of training accidents. We will show how to prevent them using operational techniques. We will also present techniques that enable safe landings in various operational situations in the event of engine failure. This course is offered at the HAI Rotor Safety Challenge at HELI-EXPO 2024. These sessions are FREE to all HELI-EXPO 2024 registered attendees and exhibitors. Attend at least six Rotor Safety Challenge sessions at HELI-EXPO 2024 and receive a certificate of recognition for completing the 2024 HAI Rotor Safety Challenge.
