Pilots are likely to believe that their risk decreases with flight hours as they build experience, they are more likely to avoid errors. However, experience can create another risk factor: complacency. At this month's Second Saturday Seminar, Willamette Aviation CFI Paul Glatts will discuss Understanding the Risk Zone, and what steps you should take to mitigate risk during your flight operations. Paul will review accidents that involved very experienced pilots who nonetheless made questionable decisions. He also will outline Aeronautical Decision Making (ADM) models and discuss his own personal rules for staying safe. Don't miss this one! This month's Second Saturday gets underway on Dec. 9 at 1100 in the Education Hangar at Willamette Aviation. The event is certified for FAA Wings credit and there is no charge. After the event, everyone is welcome to stick around for this month's Apple Pie Social. We'll be serving hot apple pie and other treats. We'll see you there!
