This seminar covers the following areas pertaining to rusty pilots and those unfamiliar with the Baltimore-Washington airspace: Changes in airspace over the years The DC SFRA/FRZ and local Presidential TFRs New weather and briefing tools Changes in technology including ADS-B New medical rules, including light sport and BasicMed Aeromedical factors for older pilots Tools for self-guided continuing education Advanced Ground Instructor Kathy Harkness was introduced to flying when a friend bought her an introductory flight, which lit a fire in her to further explore aviation. She has gone on to earn a private pilot license, buy a classic 1939 Luscombe, earn an advanced ground instructor certification, and a Light Sport Aircraft Repairman certificate. As an AGI, she loves to light the fire under other prospective pilots. Breakfast will be served at 8 a.m.
