This seminar is an entertaining refresher on the many things that may influence a pilot's decision on which runway to choose for operation, in addition to the prevailing winds. This seminar is a great start for any pilot just learning, or a refresher for those already certificated. Mark Cook started his professional piloting career as freight dog flying for a regional shipping company. He is currently working as a contract pilot for two construction companies. He specializes in single-engine turbine aircraft, including Pilatus PC12s and Socata TBM aircraft. He has flown over 10,000 hours with 2,800 hours of dual instruction given, and flown 66 different types of airplanes. Mark is an active CFI who has a special fondness for tail wheel, ski and float plane instruction. As Minneapolis FSDO, FAA Safety Team Representative and NAFI Master Flight Instructor, Cook has hosted and presented aviation safety seminars throughout northern Minnesota, on topics ranging from winter operations to airplane performance. Recently he was appointed as a designated pilot examiner for seaplanes. Mark and his wife Dawn own and operate a flight school in Bemidji MN. Their flight school, Barnstormers Flight Training, specializes in one-on-one instruction and creating well-educated pilots. Barnstormers was just recently named as a Distinguished Flight School by AOPA. Mark enjoys flying in his Champion 7GCB floatplane on his free days. We will have individuals available to help pilots register with FAA Safety, so you may participate in the WINGS program. This seminar is FREE with registration into GMAG.
