We Will Review Several Occurrences Where DEF Contaminated An Aircraft Fuel System. We want to discuss the ongoing concern regarding Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) being mistaken for Fuel System Icing Inhibitor (FSII) and finding its way into aircraft fuel systems. There have been several occurrences where DEF has been mistakenly added to aircraft fuel systems which caused aircraft to lose engine power during flight. We will share updated information since this PowerPoint originally had been presented in 2020. Lastly, we hope to share possible mitigating strategies.
