We are partnering with "Sleep in Heavenly Peace" this summer because so many so many kids in Michigan don't have a bed to sleep in. SHP is a great cause, check out their website here:https://shpbeds.org/ So here is what we are doing, on August 26th, we are hosting a bed build event with SHP on our own property located at the Y91 airpark in Lake City. You can fly in on the 25th and camp on our property, or arrive the morning of the 26th. Breakfast starts at 7:00am. Besides the bed build, we have the following exciting things going on:Saturday morning: Free breakfast for everyone who comes and volunteers. We have the world famous Chris Cakes coming out to prepare breakfast. After breakfast we will be building at least 30 beds for kids. All materials, and tools will be provided by SHP.After the bed build on Saturday morning, there will be a group fly-over to KCAD where they have the Cadillac wings and wheels fly-in going on all day.For those who come on Friday and camp, we will be doing a movie in the hangar, snacks/popcorn will be provided. We will also have a disc golf hole-in-one tournament, and have the corn hole games available. The fire pit will also be going in the evening. BYOB or anything else you want to drink. Bring grass tie-downs.Please contact me to RSVP so I keep track of airplane and camping spots.
