The UMASS Aeronautics Team would love to have your chapter attend our Fly-In and Pancake Breakfast at the Northampton Airport on May 6th!My name is Jake Simon and I am a Junior, mechanical engineering student at UMASS Amherst with a passion for all things aviation (A&P, PPL). I am a member of the UMASS Aeronautics Team, a design team of the college of engineering that competes in the annual AIAA "Design Build Fly" competition. During this competition, teams from universities around the world design and manufacture a remote controlled aircraft to complete a set of missions, and then compete in Wichita, Kansas.The goal of the team is to provide a path for undergraduate students to apply the material learned in their engineering classes to civil, commercial, welfare, and military aspects of aviation.On Saturday, May 4th, the UMASS Aeronautics Team partnered with the Northampton Airport (7B2) to host a Fly-In/Drive-In Pancake Breakfast as a fundraiser for the team and a way to bring the aviation community together.There will be live music, breakfast food, raffles, and lots of laughs and stories!We hope to see you there!
