How the Proposed MOSAIC Regulations May Affect the Light Sport Aircraft Community The FAA and Industry groups have proposed revising the Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) regulations. This revision is affectionately known as MOSAIC (Modernization of Special Airworthiness Certification). The Notice for Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) goes well beyond current LSA aircraft. This proposes to amend nine separate, and not always related regulations. This one-hour session will provide an overview of the FAA s proposal and insight on elements affecting the aircraft maintenance and pilot communities.
