This Presentation is Designed to Give You an Overview on Maintaining the Airworthiness of the Aging General Aviation Fleet The General Aviation Fleet or 150,000+ aircraft average age is more than 50 years old. The fleet is being used well beyond the flight hours and years envisioned when the aircraft were designed. This presentation covers inspection/maintenance guidance on older aircraft for owners of older, small single engine airplanes and the technicians who maintain them. We will offer helpful tips for assessing the effects of aging on their airplanes.
