Learn how to plot upper air observations using the Skew-T Log-P diagram, a thermodynamic chart that shows temperature, dew point, wind speed and direction, and other meteorological factors in the troposphere and lower stratosphere. The diagram has six basic lines that represent different aspects of upper air, such as temperature, pressure, dry adiabats, moist adiabats, mixing ratio, and wind staff. Speaker Bio: Jerrold Seckler has been flying for over 57 years. During that time, he has amassed over 7,000 hours in a wide variety of General Aviation aircraft and has personally flown a GA aircraft on all seven continents. Jerry holds ATP, CFII, AGI, and IGI certificates. He has been named a Master Ground Instructor 4 consecutive times by the National Association of Flight Instructors. He has flown over 125 flights for Angel Flight Central and served on AFC s Safety Committee for several years. Seven years ago, he was honored to receive the FAA s Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award for 50 years of safe flying.
