This presentation acquaints the audience with Loss of Control (LOC) accident experience and makes the case that effective airframe-specific transition training can be key to avoiding many LOC events. Suggestions for choosing a flight instructor, getting the most out of transition training, and tips for avoiding LOC events are presented. We will examine the impacts of of the lack of effective transition training. We will briefly focus on the FARs covering transition training requirements.
