Keeping Out of Illegal Charter Traps. This 2 hour presentation is for all pilots, mechanics, aviation professionals, and passengers who have questions about crossing the line into an illegal air charter situation. We all have to work together to identify and report illegal charters. Some of the subjects we will cover include: Key Concepts Illegal Operations, Operational Control Illegal Charter Forms They Take, Holding Out Pilot Privileges and Limitations Private/Commercial Expense Sharing Do s and Don'ts Illegal air charter operations pose a serious safety hazard to the traveling public. The FAA works aggressively to identify and stop illegal operations and to help passengers ensure the company they hire is operating to the regulatory standards. These regulations require FAA pilot training and certification, aircraft maintenance procedures, and operational safety rules. Stay informed, stay out of trouble and stay safe!
