This FREE two-hour presentation provides a survey of how Part 23 and Part 25 aircraft are designed and manufactured to illustrate the limitations and constraints of the air vehicle and that the pilot/operator/owner should be aware of to provide confidence that an aircraft can operated to maintain safe flight and land. The presentation will look at some of the typical safety analysis, methods and techniques to establish an "acceptably safe" design and what the pilot/operator/owner should do to do preserve the expectation of safety. The presentation will examine mishaps and where the expectation of safety was violated with a focus on how the pilot/operator/owner could have prevented the mishap. At the end of the presentation, participants will have a more comprehensive understanding of the role that pilots/operators/owners have to increase confidence that their aircraft can be operated such that the safety expectations are preserved. Speaker Daniel Plawecki is an Industry Fellow, Pilot, A&P, IA - Industry expert in System and Software Safety focuses on complex and highly integrated systems which are commingled and coupled.
