KSCH - Schenectady County
This is a two hour event designed for the VFR Pilot. 14 CFR 91.103 states that "each pilot in command shall, before beginning a flight, become familiar with all available information concerning that flight." This seminar will show you were to look for pertinent instrument information for the airports you fly in and out of. As a VFR Pilot, do you ever feel like you share the airspace with another group of pilots that speak a different language? IFR Pilots follow flight paths that are carefully designed and engineered to promote safe flying even with very limited visibility. They file flight plans, follow routes given to them by ATC, and use specific arrival and departure procedures. The information given to them is available to everyone and can also be used by the VFR Pilot. Attending the seminar will also serve as a great start for someone interested in getting the Instrument Rating, and Instrument Pilots who are looking to refresh their Aeronautical Knowledge.
