This presentation briefly covers general aviation accidents that have resulted from human factors issues. Human biases can cause pilots to ignore critical information, exceed aircraft limitations, and persist with mission plans despite compelling evidence that safer courses of action are available. Over-reliance on aircraft automation can diminish situational awareness and degrade hand-flying skills.
