In hot and high operations, the OGE maximum weight limit is an often-overlooked important factor. These operations can include game work, crop spraying, surveying, pipeline inspections, power-line patrols, under-sling work and helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS). Most operators track the weight and balance for an operation and keep the METAR on file for the weather conditions of the day, but combining the two to determine OGE weight limit and OGE ceiling for the particular operation is neither done nor documented. This course is offered at the HAI Rotor Safety Challenge at HELI-EXPO 2024. These sessions are FREE to all HELI-EXPO 2024 registered attendees and exhibitors. Attend at least six Rotor Safety Challenge sessions at HELI-EXPO 2024 and receive a certificate of recognition for completing the 2024 HAI Rotor Safety Challenge.
