This past July, Bryan embarked on a trip he had been dreaming of doing since he was a boy. He attended EAA s Airventure in Oshkosh, WI and he did so by flying his Cessna 1973 C150 1500nm to Airventure. Bryan will share his flying adventure and provide safety tips picked up prior to leaving and along the way to make your planned trip a safe one! Pre-flight: Route planning considering the departure is in July through the country s highest terrain in a 100hp airplane with density altitudes in 9 10-thousand-foot range. Packing the plane to the gills may not be the best way to go. Making sure the plane is in tip top shape. Reaching out to friends and forums to gain information on the best route and common pitfalls to avoid. Fuel stops with 100LL Weather: Checking NOAA and Windy religiously Need to change the route days before leaving! Personal Comfort to consider. Food Personal breaks Emergency preparedness
