50G - Howard Nixon Memorial
The Great Lakes STOL is back for 2023. All pilots welcome after a quick qualification check. We have 5 classes - Touring class 4 seats or more - Bush class 2 seats - Under 100 horse power - Experimental class - Non-ridged wing under 100hp Saturday will be practice, qualifying and a flight planning challenge for all pilots (details to come) Sunday will be the STOL contest starting at 10:00. Underwing camping is available for all who show up. Amenities available within walking distance include a grocery store, Hungry Howie's and Little Caesars pizza, Subway, a Frosty Treats, and Chinese takeout. Food vendors will be on the field. Limited space for travel trailers. We will hold a fire on Saturday night for tall tails and hotdogs.
