Jeffrey Favot is the new Air Traffic Control Manager and if you have questions about why the controllers take the actions they do, this is your opportunity to learn why. Conversely, this is your opportunity to let the controllers know what you and your aircraft are capable of when flying in the pattern. Glendale is a very busy location for student training in both light-sport and traditional training aircraft and it is seeing an increase level of business jet traffic. The controllers must balance all this in time critical situations. Matthew Smith is the new airport manager and will be available to discuss plans for modernizing and maintaining the the airport and general operations philosophy. You can expect the event to last about 1.5 hours. This Pilot/Controller Forum is an opportunity to introduce and welcome both mangers and discuss your concerns flying in some of the busiest airspace in the country. There will be another Pilot/Controller later in the summer prior to Glendale's Local Runway Safety Action Team meeting.
