This Mitchell Gallery of Flight special program will feature a presentation by Kurt Stanich on local aviator and visionary, Paul Poberezny. Starting at Milwaukees Curtiss-Wright (Timmerman) Airport, Poberezny inspired a grassroots movement in aviation that expanded well beyond southeast Wisconsin.Finding Paul walks along the pathways that Paul Poberezny took as a youth growing up on the south side of Milwaukee underneath the airways of aviations early development. From his fathers migration to the United States to Paul purchasing his first airplane, youll enjoy the many influences and fateful occurrences that planted the seeds for the eventual growth of the Experimental Aircraft Association. Our presenter, Kurt Stanich, is the Waukesha County Airport Manager.The conference room is located at the south end of the terminal, adjacent to the Mitchell Gallery of Flight's west wall.Open to Mitchell Gallery Members and the Public. Free Parking for Attendees. Bring your parking ticket to the meeting to be validated.
