Maintaining a GA aircraft today is not easy. Like automobiles, there are dozens of systems and subtleties involved. Too often, aircraft owners send their aircraft to a shop and simply cross their fingers because they don t even know what questions to ask. Tom DeJan s session will clear the haze from around lean-of-peak operations, critical items easily overlooked during preflight, winter warmup procedures, and owner-performed maintenance that complies with the regulations. Tom DeJan, is an airframe and powerplant mechanic with an inspection authorization, as well as a retired USAF crew chief and flight mechanic on B-52s and MC-130s. DeJan is the founder of Fixed Wings Aero Service Inc., in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
