EAA Local Chapter 1088 monthly meeting will be held at TacAero Maintenance Hangar at Gillespie County Airport. North end of Runway. 465 Airport Rd,Fredericksburg, TX 78624Coffee and pancakes start at 8:00 am and the business meeting will begin at 8:30.Members, non-members, pilots, non-pilots, and aviation enthusiasts are welcome. Topic: AirspaceSpeaker: Ryan B. Newman, the FAASTeam (Federal Aviation Administration Safety Team) Program Manager at the San Antonio Flight Standards District Office. Mr. Newman has been employed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for ten years as an Aviation Safety Inspector (ASI) and as the FAASTeam Program Manager. He holds the Airline Transport Pilot Certificate for Airplanes, the Commercial Instrument Certificate for Single-Engine Seaplanes, and Rotorcraft-Helicopter. He is an Instructor Pilot in Airplanes and Helicopters.Mr. Newmans experience also includes employment as a Flight Instructor, Corporate Pilot, Charter Pilot, and as an Airline Captain for Northwest Airlink. Mr. Newman has an extensive background in Aviation Accident Investigation during his years as an Army Aviation Safety Officer, through education at the Bachelor and Masters level with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, through the Aviation Accident Investigation Course at the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Academy, and through training at the Transportation Safety Institute.Donations for breakfast help cover the cost of food.
