Year after year, the NTSB attributes approximately 75 percent of all aircraft accidents to pilot error. Most of these are the direct result of poor decision-making. Join us on Saturday morning and tune up your decision-making skills. Refreshments will be served. This seminar will discuss both the pre-flight mitigation of risk and the more time-critical in-flight handling of surprise changes. https://bit.ly/SAFE-Gap Many pilots advocate the "take a look" approach when confronting a complicated decision, but "a pilot in motion tends to stay in motion??" Asking an experienced CFI or pilot mentor can be a good pre-flight safer strategy. In-flight (dynamic) risk management needs special care to assure a safe outcome. Preflight planning is covered in this excellent FAA publication, and inflight decision-making is covered in this document. The 3-P Decision-Making Model will also be discussed. This AOPA "Safety Advisor" is also very helpful.
