Most helicopter operators carry the requisite minimum emergency equipment on their aircraft....and it s all current and in working order, right? Prudent flight crews may even have items they keep in their pockets. But when you find yourself unexpectedly standing, or swimming, next to your aircraft, what equipment really matters? What do professional search and rescue personnel recommend to make it easier to find you, and can you get to it? This session will share information on what equipment works best, what doesn't work, and what you should keep close for the best chance of survival. This course is offered at the HAI Rotor Safety Challenge at HELI-EXPO 2024. These sessions are FREE to all HELI-EXPO 2024 registered attendees and exhibitors. Attend at least six Rotor Safety Challenge sessions at HELI-EXPO 2024 and receive a certificate of recognition for completing the 2024 HAI Rotor Safety Challenge.
