Using the Correct Procedures and Required Tasks to Complete an Instrument Proficiency Check The Instrument Proficiency Check (IPC) is a condensed version of the Instrument Practical Test. During this seminar, we will review what is required of the Instrument Flight Instructor when conducting an adequate IPC in accordance with CFR 61.57 (c) and (d). We will go over how to determine if the applicant has demonstrated the knowledge and skills to meet the standards to pass the IPC.
