Our December meeting will be a combination VMC and IMC Club meetings. Our VMC topic is "In the Dark" What would you do if you could not turn on the lights at an airport at night? Do you just turn around, are you on the right frequency and just land without lights? No way!Our IMC topic is "Thunderstorms with a Fog Chaser". You have a flight to take some friends to a meeting but the meeting lasts long and you are well past your bedtime. You avoid some thunderstorms but the fog is there upon your arrival home. What to do?Please come and be ready to discuss with VFR and IFR pilots. Both of these scenarios are great conversation starters. We will also have some refreshments in celebration of the Christmas season.EAA/IMC Club, through the EAA's global Chapter structure, provides organized "hangar flying" focused on building instrument flying knowledge and skills. The program's network promotes a safety culture through continued education and believes that we develop safety and proficiency through education and real life experience. Monthly meetings offer an opportunity to share in-flight experiences and valuable safety tips.Through the FAA Safety Program, aviation professionals provide informative WINGS presentations. You do not have to be an instrument rated pilot to attend.
