Emphasis on Judgment of Airplane Performance During recent years the preferred landing approach technique has become oriented toward training students to fly heavy, high performance aircraft. While this certainly has its place, the presenter feels there is a need to place stronger emphasis on legacy landing techniques involving greater awareness of the airplane performance without power and relying more on the judgment of the pilot/student in planning and airplane handling. The techniques will be reviewed and the pros and cons of each discussed. All Flight Instructors, Pilot Examiners, Student Pilots, and Certificated Pilots are encouraged to attend. There will be time for questions/answers and discussion.
