Webinar will focus on teaching Safety Risk Management and tools such as the Flight Risk Assessment Tool to GA pilots. The General Aviation Joint Steering Committee (GAJSC) has studied a number of General Aviation accidents that were caused by inaccurate and/or unreasonable expectations with regard to risk assessment and mitigation. This program will focus on how CFIs can effectively teach and promote Safety Risk Management concepts. Teaching Points: General aviation accidents continue to be associated with inaccurate or unreasonable expectations with regard to risk assessment and mitigation. Safety Risk Management should be employed before, during, and after each General Aviation flight. Safety Risk Management aids such as Flight Risk Assessment Tools specific to General Aviation Operations are available.
