An Open Discussion of Topics Concerning Flight Instructors and Designated Pilot Examiners in the Washington FSDO Area. In this CFI/DPE Forum we will discuss Instructor/Learner Relationships and how to teach your CFI candidates to develop a good rapport with their learners (student pilots). Additionally, we will have a safety topic led by a local DPE that should foster good discussion among the attendees. FAA Representatives, and Designated Pilot Examiners, will address Airman Certification Standards and common errors observed on practical evaluations. Flight Instructors, Ground Instructors, Designated Pilot Examiners, and Instructors in training are welcome and encouraged to attend, and to bring questions you may have concerning flight instruction. The more participants we have, the more robust the discussion will be. So join your flight instructor colleagues and take an active role in improving flight-training awareness and safety in our area!
