CAUTION: Helicopter Wake Turbulence = Rotor down wash + Rotorcraft wake vortices what it means for small aircraft. Carrabelle Flying Club Safety Topic of the Month for Feb 2024 will address the impact of the combined forces of helicopter rotor down wash and wake vortices, know as Helicopter Wake Turbulence. We will look at their impact on small aircraft, see some actual video cases and get a grasp of potential means to mitigate the risk of bad outcomes.
