CFIT - When an Airworthy Aircraft Under Complete Control Is Inadvertently Flown Into Terrain, Water, or an Obstacle Understanding the human link in the accident chain for CFIT is not really very complicated. Pilots make disastrous decisions because they fail to comprehend the implications of the threats and risks they face on a given flight. Flying is inherently risky so every flight needs to be assessed in terms of threats and risks with mitigation strategies contemplated before leaving the ground. In this webinar attendees will learn the CFIT prevention strategy used by a 15,000 hour, 57 year, Wright Brothers recipient pilot who has been through combat, Alaska bush flying, airline flying, single pilot IFR and flight instruction and has remained accident free in both helicopters and airplanes.
