Join us in our April meeting and learn from an experienced Palm Beach controller! Shane Ahern will cover runway safety and how to prevent landing and departing from the wrong runway and/or taxiway. Shane will also cover traffic advisories and safety alerts. Learn about how controllers can help you prevent low altitude and traffic collisions. Shane will discuss the use of mode C transponders and ADS-B and how controllers use those technologies to give you traffic alerts. Shane Ahern is currently an controller at the Palm Beach ATC. He has worked there for 20 years. Previously he was at Montgomery ATC and is a private pilot.
