Safe ballooning requires advance planning and preparation, skill, knowledge, and good aeronautical decision making. This unique safety event will include the following: Chad Storch, Medical Certification Requirements Don Day, Understanding Weather Ron Teitsort, Custer State Park Landing Procedures Tim Behlings, First Responders Paul Meier, Custer County Search & Rescue Scott Wooge, Maintenance Mike Shrum, Aeronautical Decision Making Black Hills Electric, Powerlines NOTE: For those wishing to obtain the Basic, Advanced, and Master WINGS credit, you will need to attend this entire all-day event. Prior to attending this safety event, please review and abide by current CDC, State, and Local Health Guidelines.
