Join West Michigan Regional Airport for a BIV Roundtable to discuss Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) medical exam updates and hear from Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) Dr. Mark Schultz The discussion will cover the current FAA initiatives to relax rigid medical restrictionsespecially mental health regulationsto eradicate the barriers that deter pilots and air traffic controllers from reporting mental health issues. Dr. Schultz has been an AME for 40 years, evaluating pilots seeking their Medical Certificate by proving physical fitness to safely fly a plane. With over 2,500 flight hours, he holds active Commercial and Instrument licenses. This free event will feature a presentation, Q&A session, catering and refreshments. All with an interest in flying should attend This includes aviation enthusiasts and those considering pilot training, currently in pilot training and pilots.
