Negative transfer is a key contributing factor in many helicopter accidents. Negative transfer refers to false manipulation, which can occur when skills or knowledge learned in one context or situation are inappropriately applied to another. For helicopter pilots, negative transfer can occur when attempting to apply trained or natural reflexes that are appropriate for one situation but not another, resulting in errors and possibly accidents. This course is offered at the HAI Rotor Safety Challenge at HELI-EXPO 2024. These sessions are FREE to all HELI-EXPO 2024 registered attendees and exhibitors. Attend at least six Rotor Safety Challenge sessions at HELI-EXPO 2024 and receive a certificate of recognition for completing the 2024 HAI Rotor Safety Challenge.
