Youth & Family Event, Millard Airport, Saturday, September 2,2023.Aviation STEMaha is holding its annual Aviation STEM Day. Students are invited to explore aviation hands on. In attendance will be organizations from all aspects of aviation ready to show the exiting paths you can follow. Event opens at 9:00 am and ends at 3:00 pm. Pancake man will be there serving Pancakes 8:00 to 11:00 am. Lunch is 11:00 3:00, Hot Dog Cart, Flips Franks available for inexpensive lunches to ALL. To attract Fly-ins, On our Bus Route to the public parking lot (Deerfield Plaza) is one of the best BBQ places ever found, Smokin Barrel BBQ (take a look at some pictures at their site: (Photos for Smokin Barrel BBQ (yelp.com)). Meal scholarship to 20 Pilots Flying-in plus Oracle will be offering gas discounts with the registering of tail Numbers from other home airportsFree Bus Transport available to all event attendees.NOAA WeatherUNO Aviation InstituteOmahawks R/C ClubCreate-DronesNebraska RocketryIWCC school of Aviation Mechanicsand Many More Professional and Hobby Fields that can capture a young persons interest. The EAA 80 Chapter, Young Eagles, will be holding a parallel event where youth 8 18 will have the opportunity to fly in a Real Airplane with a pilot.Activities will be geared toward middle and high school aged students (8 18) but the whole family is encouraged to attend.
