Dr. John will cover a broad range of common questions/topics that pilots have regarding medical certification. These will include: Basic Med and its relationship with Light Sport and the Modernization of Special Airworthiness Certification (MOSIAC) Notice of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM) issued by the FAA. Other subjects would include the medical implications of surgeries involving stents and the factors involved in being recertified after suffering head trauma in an accident. Also covered is the reporting of disability compensation obtained from any entity such as the Veterans Administration (VA), private insurer, or the Social Security Administration (SSA).
